Attractions Beyond Disney ...
72,000,000 (yes, 72 million!) people travelled to Orlando in 2017, which makes Florida the Number One holiday destination in the world. Our home is right in the middle of Florida and provides quick & easy access to all the attractions.

Obviously most families come to Florida to meet Mickey Mouse and experience the thrill of the many Theme Parks. But there’s a whole lot more to see beyond the magic of Disney. Here are a few inexpensive ideas to get you started:
Fantasy of Flight  has reopened on a scaled down approach. This is one of our favourite alternative attractions & is a must for anyone with any interest in vintage aeroplanes. The owner, Kermit Weeks, is simply an enthusiast who is a delight to listen to.

Wild Willy's Airboat Tours  is definitely one of the best airboat experiences in the Central Florida area. We have been & can assure you they will spend time showing you all the wildlife and explaining their habitat. Not the cheapest but certainly among the best.

Forever Florida  is a unique eco-tourism attraction located in St. Cloud. Featuring Zipline tour, horseback adventure & Rattlesnake Roller Coaster ... its one you shouldn't miss. Located in its own 4,700 acres of Florida conservation wilderness!

Lakeridge Winery  located in Clermont, is Florida’s largest premium winery.  Visitors can take a free tour of the winery and estate, with sampling of wines in the tasting room daily.

Orlando Brewing Company  is the only organic brewery and taproom in the Southeast and one of only 10 in the United States. Free brewery tours and live entertainment are available on weekends.
Silver Springs  audiences have long been captured by the springs’ natural beauty and vibrant clarity. From the glass bottom boat rides, kayak and canoe trips to the special event productions, creative culture and romantic appeal, the springs are yours to discover.
Jetty Park  at Cape Canaveral is acres of beach fun, fishing, camping, picnics and more for a day or for a whole vacation. Featuring a 4.5 acre beach, 1,200 foot fishing pier, 150 campsites, pavilions, picnic tables, tackle shop and everything to entertain you and your family

Wekiwa Springs State Park  comprises approximately 7,000 acres of wild scenery that offers an opportunity to see how areas of central Florida looked when the Timucuan Indians speared fish in the spring-fed creeks and stalked the uplands.

Clearwater  is a top year-round destination offering seemingly endless entertainment, natural beauty and outdoor activities on land & sea. Well worth a visit.

Playalinda Beach   (Spanish for "pretty beach") is located on Florida's east coast in Canaveral National Seashore. It is on a barrier island separated from the mainland by the Indian River. An unspoilt and natural beauty.

Old Town Shopping  Dining and Entertainment Complex is a great place to spend a day because admission is free. On weekends, Old Town becomes a haven for car buffs. On Friday nights, you can stroll the streets eyeing some of the finest custom and exotic cars you’ve ever seen.
